Life

Dacoury-Tabley had worked for the BCEAO since 1976.

His resignation as governor of the BCEAO was forced by Alassane Ouattara because he refused to let Ouattara control the state accounts in the course of the dispute over the presidential elections . Between December 23, 2010 and January 17, 2011 he transferred around 150 million euros to Laurent Gbagbo. On January 14th, the European Union put sanctions against him in force. He finally resigned as governor of the BCEAO on January 22nd. Dacoury-Tabley himself gave technical and practical circumstances as reasons for not transferring control to Ouattara.
