Ginette Bellavance
Ginette Bellavance (born June 30, 1946 in Lévis ) is a Canadian composer, singer and actress.
Ginette Bellavance studied composition with Serge Garant at the University of Montreal . She taught electroacoustics and incidental music at the Université du Québec à Montréal and from 1969 to 1974 she directed the experimental music group YUL , for which she also composed. In the early 1970s she composed a number of stage music for performances at the Théâtre populaire du Québec , the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde and the Nouvelle compagnie théâtrale .
From 1974 to 1988 she worked on various radio and television productions for the CBC and composed the music for several films. In 1980 she appeared as a singer in the premiere of Walter Boudreaus composition Coffre I on. Since the early 1980s she has produced shows for the French television program of the CBC in which she appeared as a singer and actress. She also recorded several LPs.
