Gintaras Šileikis
Gintaras Šileikis (* 16th May 1960 in Užulėnis , ukmergė district municipality , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian educator and politician.
Life
After graduating from the 7th Panevėžys Middle School in 1978 , he studied history at the Vilniaus pedagoginis institutas from 1979 to 1984 and became a teacher. From 1990 to 1995 he was a deputy in Panevėžys City Council, and from 1990 to 1991 City Council Chairman ( Mayor ) of Panevėžys. From 1996 to 2008 he was a member of the Seimas , from 2008 to 2010 Deputy Head of Utena District and from 2011 Deputy Mayor of Panevėžys.
2003–2005 he was a member of Liberalų ir centro sąjunga and from 2006 of Lietuvos Respublikos liberalų sąjūdis .
