Giogiò Franchini

Giogiò Franchini (born July 11, 1959 in Naples ) is an Italian film editor .

Since 1993 Franchini has been involved in more than 80 film and television productions. In 2003 he directed a short documentary film Il pareggio non esiste , and in 2014 he directed the documentary Lo sposo di Napoli. Appunti per un film su Achille Lauro , for which he also took over the camera work.

In 2014 he was awarded David di Donatello for the best cut. He was previously nominated for the award in 2005 and 2008. So far he has been nominated five times for the Nastro d'Argento in the category Best Editing .
