Giorgio Doria Pamfilj Landi
Giorgio Doria Pamfilj Landi (born November 17, 1772 in Rome , Italy, † November 16, 1837 in Rome) was a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.
Ordained a priest on May 31, 1804 , the clergyman , who came from the Doria - Pamphilij family, became prefect of the papal household in 1808. Raised cardinal “ in pectore ” on March 8, 1816 , his name was published on July 22, 1816. Provided with the titular church Santa Maria in Via on September 23, 1816 , he became Commendatarabb of Ss. Vincenzo ed Anastasia. On March 16, 1818, he moved to the titular church of S. Cecilia as a cardinal priest . Since February 10, 1821 Prefect of the Congregation for Rites , he was also Grand Prior of the Maltese in Rome in 1828 . Towards the end of his life, the cardinal was almost completely blind.
