The Giornale Italiano di Dermatologia e Venereologia , abbreviated G. Ital. Dermatol. Venereol. , is a scientific journal published by Edizioni Minerva Medica-Verlag on behalf of the Società Italiana di Dermatologia e Malattie Sessualmente Trasmesse . The journal was founded in 1866 under the name Giornale Italiano delle Malattie veneree e della pelle , changed it in 1925 to Giornale Italiano di Dermatologia e Sifilologia , in 1957 it was shortened to Giornale Italiano di Dermatologia and in 1969 it was merged with the journal Minerva Dermatologica , the Founded in 1926 under the name Dermosifilografo , merged. The common name was Giornale Italiano di Dermatologia, Minerva Dermatologica , which was changed to the current name in 1980. It appears six issues a year. Works from all areas of dermatology are published.
