Giovanni Davide Maderna
Giovanni Davide Maderna (born October 2, 1973 in Milan ) is an Italian film director .
Life
Maderna graduated in Human Sciences and then attended the Film Institute at the University of Lyon . As early as 1995 he began producing short films, the first La placa of which won the Sacher d'Oro. Other notable works followed; In 1999 he presented his feature film debut Questo è il giardino at the Venice Film Festival , which received several awards there and for which he received the Nastro d'Argento as best new director. L'amore imperfetto followed in 2002 , four years later the biopic Schopenhauer and finally the autobiographical Cielo senza terra in 2010 , in which Maderna and his son play themselves. Maderna produced the last two films herself.
