Giovanni Grazzini
Giovanni Grazzini (born January 6, 1925 in Florence , Italy ; † August 18, 2001 in Rome ) was an Italian journalist , literary and film critic .
Life
Giovanni Grazzini studied art at the University of Florence . From 1952 to 1961 he worked as an editorial assistant and literary critic for the Italian daily La Nazione . At the same time he wrote several articles for Nuova antologia , Il mondo and Il ponte . From 1962 until his retirement in 1989 he then worked as a film critic for the Italian daily Corriere della Sera as a film critic. From 1974 to 1993 he was president of the Associazione Nazionale dei Critici Cinematografici , the Italian association of film critics.
In total, Grazzini wrote and published over 25 books on cinema, including collections of his film reviews. His 1983 interview book, Federico Fellini , was published in 1984 under the title Why don't you make a beautiful love story? and in 1993 published by Diogenes Verlag in German under the title Fellini über Fellini .
