Giovanni Liverani

Giovanni Liverani (born June 1, 1964 in Udine , Italy ) is an Italian manager, CEO of Generali Deutschland AG. He worked for Assicurazioni Generali throughout his career and was a co-founder of the Italian direct insurer Genertel . In 2019 Liverani was the only Italian citizen among the 100 best managers in the "Germany Manager" ranking.

Life

Liverani graduated from high school in Lycaeum in Verona . Then he gained at the Technical University Politecnico di Milano the conclusion of the Laurea in Engineering. In 1991 he became a development engineer at the Assicurazioni Generali headquarters in Trieste . He was a co-founder and member of the executive board of Genertel, the direct insurance company of the Generali Group in Italy. Subsequently, he was responsible for the Assicurazioni Generali as regional area manager with responsibility for Germany and Austria and as head of the Central Europe unit.

Since 2013, he has held various management positions for the entire international Generali Group: Liverani, as Head of Business Performance Management Central Europe, oversaw the insurance business in Italy, Germany and Switzerland and, as Regional Officer, was responsible for the insurance business in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East , Africa). On April 1, 2015, he took up his position as CEO of Generali Germany and Generali Insurance . Liverani has also been a member of the international Generali Group Management Committee since 2013.
