Girls in Airports is a Danish jazz band that has existed since 2009.

Band history

The Danish jazz quintet Girls in Airports was founded in Copenhagen in 2009 by Martin Stender (saxophones), Lars Greve (saxophones, clarinets), Mathias Holm (keyboards), Victor Dybbroe (percussion) and Mads Forsby (drums), all musicians who were previously met as students at Copenhagen's Rytmisk Conservatory of Music . The band has since toured Europe, Asia, the United States and South America. In 2010 she was the winner of the Danish Music Awards in the Danish Cross-over Jazz Release of the Year category ; In 2012 she received - also at the Danish Music Awards - a nomination for the Danish World Album of the Year .

Girls in Airports also performed with the poet and writer Jens Blendstrup . Since 2010, the formation has so far released five albums. In early 2019, three videos (including "Rold Skov") for their next album, which will be released in 2020, were released.
