Danish hip-hoppers Nik & Jay became the newcomer of the year in 2003. For 2007 they are nominated for the hit and music video of the year with Alt Hvad Du Gør Mig til . A third nomination went to their production collective "Nexus Music".

The Danish Music Awards (abbreviated DMA , also known as Danish Grammy ) are the highest music awards in Denmark for popular music . They are awarded annually in different categories.

history

The music prize, established in 1989, is awarded by the Danish department of the IFPI . Until 1990 it was called IFPI-Prisen (IFPI-Preis), until 2000 then Dansk Grammy (Danish Grammy). The current name Danish Music Awards dates back to 2001 when the Højesteret decided that the Recording Academy, as the organizer of the US Grammy Awards, had exclusive rights to the Grammy name . The award ceremony is mostly broadcast live on Danish television ( Danmarks Radio ).
