Girm (municipality of Deutschkreutz)

Girm is a village and a cadastral municipality in the market town of Deutschkreutz in Burgenland .

Girm is located west of Deutschkreutz, with which it has grown together. In a deed of donation from the Hungarian King Bela IV from 1245, the place was first mentioned under the name Kurw . Girm came to the Deutschkreutz community in 1936. At that time, 187 citizens of Girm gathered in the parish hall and held a referendum, in which 120 voted to join Deutschkreutz.

A special feature is the plate fountain at the Hofstatt, which was first mentioned in 1245 as a fountain for lepers.
