Gisela Kolb (born May 7, 1957 in Neunkirchen ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the Saarland state parliament from 1999 to 2017 . 

education and profession

After attending the Neunkirchen elementary school, Kolb switched to the secondary school there and graduated from secondary school in 1974. Then she attended the technical college for social affairs until 1976. From 1976 to 1979 she completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk in the district town of Neunkirchen. She then pursued this profession until 1999.

politics

Kolb has been a member of the SPD since 1976. She held various functions in the SPD. From 1996 to 2004 she was deputy chairwoman of the Neunkirchen district association, and from 2005 to 2016 she was chairwoman of the SPD city association Neunkirchen. She was also a member of the state board of the SPD Saar and since 2002 deputy state chairwoman of the women in the SPD.

The state parliament of Saarland  belonged piston as deputies since the  twelfth legislative term - they moved in 1999 to the late  Marie-Louise Kuhn  to. Since 2012 Kolb was deputy chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group. From 2011 to 2012 she was Chair of the Education and Media Committee.

She did not run for the state election for the 16th legislative period

Further memberships

Gisela Kolb is chairwoman of the board of trustees of the Saar Animal Welfare Foundation, which was founded in 2001. Among other things, she is the chairwoman of the Pro Familia Neunkirchen association and a sponsoring member of the Saar Association of German Animal Welfare .
