Giulio Battiferri

Giulio Battiferri (born July 15, 1893 in Rome , † January 22, 1973 in Rome ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Battiferri attended a technical school, but appeared on the stage from 1913, initially under Count Gastone Monaldi Romanesca, who would later become his brother-in-law. He subsequently played in numerous productions such as “Er pupo di Trastevere”, “La festa del bacio” and “Nino er boja” on many stages in his home country, on tours in Brazil and other Latin American nations as well as in France, England and Spain. He usually performed with his wife Pina Piovani .

In 1919 and 1920 Battifferi made his film debut in strips alongside his sister Fernanda ; until 1939 he continued to concentrate on stage productions. In 1939 he started a long series of often small character representations. From 1932 on he had worked as a journalist for several years. Battiferri managed to continue his career into old age.

Battifferi was the uncle of the actress Gisella Monaldi .
