In a western town, the town's two most important families, the Careys and the Donovans, are heartfelt enmity. Their mutual rivalries and battles are complicated by a gang of outlaws whose boss woos Lolita, but who in turn is devoted to the son of the warring family, Mac. After intrigues, shootings, ambushes and duels, Mac gets the girl and reconciles the two families.

criticism

"Half caricature, half realistic, Macario goes his way with puns, niceties and songs," wrote D. Calcagno, who even compares him with Buster Keaton and praises the director's style, creativity and intelligent direction. Even Giuseppe De Santis praised the quick jokes and amusing details.

Remarks

The script is based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet .
