Giuseppe Fabbrini (* before 1660 in Siena ; † November 20, 1708 in Siena) was an Italian composer , organist , conductor and teacher of the musical baroque .
Live and act
Giuseppe Fabbrini was probably born in the first half of the 17th century. It is believed that he belonged to the Jesuit order . From 1671 he worked in the cathedral of Siena - first as an organist and from 1685 to 1708 as Kapellmeister (with another organist activity in 1705 and 1706). Fabbrini taught as a teacher at the Collegio Tolomei Siena , which was directed by Jesusists . Many young people from aristocratic circles and respected families all over Italy were trained there. In addition to sacred works, Fabbrini also composed operas for the Theater des Collegio and was also a member of the Accademia dei Rozzi .
Unfortunately, most of his works were lost. His librettist was predominantly the famous Girolamo Gigli .
