Giuseppe Molina

Giuseppe Molina ( 1931 - November 3, 2014 ) was an Italian table tennis player . In the 1950s and 1960s he took part in seven world championships and one European championship .

Giuseppe Molina started playing table tennis at the age of 17. He was a defender, but was also able to counter with attacking strokes (similar to Eberhard Schöler ). He won the Italian national championship in singles in 1951, 1962 and 1963.

He was called up to the national team a total of 68 times. From 1951 to 1965 he took part in seven world championships , but never came close to medal ranks.

In 1969 he ended his career as a competitive athlete. In 1981 he worked as a manager at the Molina e Bianchi association in Vigevano .

Professionally, Giuseppe Molina worked in the shoe industry, where he developed and sold machines for shoe production.
