Giuseppe Vedovato

Giuseppe Vedovato (born March 13, 1912 in Greci , † January 18, 2012 in Rome ) was an Italian politician of the Democrazia Cristiana . He sat from 1953 to 1972 in the Camera dei deputati and from 1972 to 1975 in the Senate .

Vedovato was a professor of history at La Sapienza University. From 1972 to 1975 he was President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe . In 2003 he received an honorary presidency from the Council of Europe .
