Glanis ("shiny, shining gemstone"?) Is the Gallo-Roman city ​​god of Glanum ( Saint Rémy-de-Provence in the Bouches-du-Rhône department ). He is also the protector of the holy spring next to which the sanctuary was built. The city itself was built by Celto- Ligurians at the end of the 3rd century BC.
