Aironi ( Italian heron ) was an Italian rugby union team. It was founded in 2010 and took part in the international Pro12 championship . Eight clubs from the Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna regions are involved in this franchise and provide players for Aironi. At the end of the 2011/12 season, the team was dissolved again as the Federazione Italiana Rugby revoked its license for financial reasons.

The franchise was a collaboration between eight rugby clubs, which were involved as follows:

Aironi's home games were played in Viadana at Stadio Luigi Zaffanella , the home stadium of Rugby Viadana. For particularly important games, the Stadio Giglio in Reggio nell'Emilia could be used.
