Glass batiste

Glass batiste is a white batiste made of cotton or man-made fibers that has been made translucent and permanently stiffened by mercerising , bleaching and treating with 64% sulfuric acid and subsequently with caustic soda. This wash-resistant equipment called opalescent . Patterned glass batiste is known as organdy or opal . Organza is related to this .

The warp is set between 28 and 38 threads per centimeter, the yarn count is Nm 120 to Nm 200. The transparent fabric in linen weave is used for summer and evening dresses , blouses and accessories .
