The Glass GmbH Construction is a family-run medium-sized group of companies of the construction industry . The group's head office is in Mindelheim in the Unterallgäu district .

The building construction company Glass was founded in 1948 by Helene and Albert Glaß in Mindelheim. In the 1950s, bricks (especially hollow blocks) and ceiling beams were first produced. In the 1960s, civil engineering, prefabricated house construction and (after the construction of a precast concrete plant) industrial construction were added. In the 1970s, the parent company moved to a new, larger 175,000 m² site in the industrial area of ​​Mindelheim. In addition to the administration, the manufacturing plants, a ready-mixed concrete plant and a precast plant are now located there.

Today, the Glass construction company is mainly active nationwide in turnkey industrial construction, but also acts in all other construction services, including special civil engineering, bridge construction, construction of parking garages and residential construction. The prefabricated parts produced include tubbings for tunnel and subway construction and prefabricated ceilings.

In Germany, the glass construction company employs around 800 people and generates sales in the three-digit million range.

The managing partner of the group leading Glass GmbH Bauunternehmung has been Dieter Glaß, the son of the company founder, since 1986. The company is owned by the Glaß family.
