Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

The Glen Canyon National Recreation Area covers an area of 5076 km² around Lake Powell in the US states of Utah and Arizona . Most of the area around Lake Powell is desert.
The protected area of national importance has around 2 million visitors annually. There are 4 campsites, 5 marinas and 2 small airports in Glen Canyon NRA. The southwest end of Glen Canyon NRA can be reached via US Highway 89 and Arizona State Route 98 , the northeast end via Utah State Route 276 or Utah State Route 95 .
