Glenn Bracke

Glenn Bracke (born March 25, 1970 in Aalst ) is a Belgian artist and entrepreneur.

Career

Bracke was born into a family of screen printers. He also developed an interest in screen printing and was the third generation to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors. After completing his military service, Glenn opened his first screen printing company, Glenn Tex , in 1990, specializing in printing colorful T-shirts. He has also been running a business as a real estate agent since the 1990s.

By creating studies on personalities such as Bryan Ferry , Randy Jones , Shaggy , Eros Ramazzotti, and Nile Rodgers , Bracke began experimenting with various photography techniques in the 2010s.

Glenn created a number of artworks, some of which were exhibited at the Art Style Gallery in Knokke in 2014 . In May 2014, Bracke presented a work of art during the Cannes Film Festival and presented a study of the film Grace .

The work Shopping in Paris was exhibited at the Nikki Beach Club during the festival and Studio 54 was presented at the La Chambre Noire exhibition.

In the summer of 2014 Bracke took part in a competition for young artists by the cultural emissions Cobra of the national television.

Brackes Werk Shopping in Paris was nominated from 700 candidates. Ten nominees exhibited the winning works of art in September at the M-Museum in Leuven.

The project entitled - Bones came to an end after almost a year and was presented for the first time at the end of August 2015. At the invitation of the Amsterdam International Art Fair, the installation was exhibited in the main square next to the art fair.

His next major piece comes from modern society: Face ... Book is made in bronze and has a life-size face. This work is also made in bronze. Completed from 2016, this unique piece was shown for the first time in April 2016 at the Imagination Art Show in Brussels. The show itself ran for ten days and included over forty examples of Bracke's work.

The project was a collaboration between art and music and was accompanied live by Leee John with his band Imagination and the Belgian musician Plastic Bertrand . The Fantasy Art Exhibition was Glenn's first main presentation of his works. In response to requests to do it again, Bracke agreed to tour the Imagination Art Show. The Netherlands were the first stop and in early June 2016 the Imagination Art Show was the central feature of the ARTR.IP Expo.
