The Glina (Serbo-Croatian for "clay / loam"; Serbian - Cyrillic Глина ) is a right tributary of the Kupa in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia . In a section northeast of Velika Kladuša , it forms the border between the two states.

The river has its source near the village of Gornji Kremen in the municipality of Slunj (Croatia) and initially runs in a north-north-westerly direction before turning east. There the Glina forms the border between the counties Karlovac and Sisak-Moslavina for a few kilometers before it meets the Bosnian border at Maljevac .

The Glina now flows through a narrow valley south of the Petrova gora . Here, with the Glinica , it takes its largest inflow. Shortly before the town of Glina the valley opens up and from here it is also used for agriculture.

A little west of Slana ( Petrinja municipality ) the Glina flows into the Kupa after about 100 km. It is not navigable along its entire length.
