The Glopenesranen (Norwegian for canyon nose tip ) is a nunatak in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In the Orvinfjella it rises at the northern end of the Glopeneset foothills on the south side of the Glopeflya .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped the Nunatak using aerial photographs and measurements made by the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
