Glucobrassicin is a mustard oil glycoside (also glucosinolate ) that can be found mainly in broccoli , cabbage and woad ( Isatis tinctoria ), where it shows an insect repellent effect.
It plays a role in preventing cancer , especially breast cancer , as it can neutralize toxins in the body, including estrogen derivatives . Thanks to newer extraction methods and the discovery of the high content in woad, up to 65 times higher yields can be achieved in the production of woad compared to broccoli.
