Paralia Glyka Nera ( Greek Παραλία Γλυκά Νερά 'fresh water beach ' ), also English Sweet Water Beach , is a beach on the southwest coast of the island of Crete on the Libyan Sea . He belongs to the Sfakia community .

"Glyka Nera" means fresh water and is derived from fresh water sources on the beach. A few smaller groups of trees grow on the pebble beach.

The beach is located between Loutro and Chora Sfakion on the south coast of Crete. It can be reached on foot via the E4 European long-distance hiking trail or by boat. Roads do not lead to the beach. Directly in front of the beach is a tavern built on a rock in the water.
