Go! was a hardcore band from New York .

history

Go! was founded in 1989 by the fanzine author and singer Michael Bromberg after he left SFA . The band released a number of EPs and two albums during their brief career ; one of the EPs ( Your Power Means Nothing ) was produced by Don Fury . The band completed several tours through Europe and the USA and was involved in the autonomous New York center ABC No Rio . Around 1992, Go! Separated.

In 2006, Bromberg and guitarist Aaron reformed the band with new musicians and played concerts at irregular intervals until 2011. During this time, two more EPs were released.

style

The band was known for their direct, humorous and sarcastic lyrics and for dealing with topics such as gay and lesbian rights, feminism , anti-sexism and violence. Singer Bromberg is one of the few gay musicians in the hardcore scene, which led to the band being classified under the term " Queercore ".
