Go-Fukakusa
Go-Fukakusa ( Japanese 後 深 草 天皇 , Go-Fukakusa-Tennō ; * June 28, 1243 , † August 17, 1304 ) was the 89th Tennō of Japan (February 16, 1246 to January 9, 1259). His proper name was Hisahito ( 久 仁 ).
Ichijō Sanetsune was appointed his tutor shortly after his birth , who also led the reign for him after his father, the Go-Saga -Tennō had resigned. Go-Fukakusa was three years old when he took office. On January 9, 1259, he resigned and became a monk. He died on August 17, 1304.
