Traffic area

From July 15, 2010, former BVO lines in Kalletal , Lemgo and Bad Salzuflen ( Lippe district ) belong to the service area. Go.on has been serving the former BBH bus connections between Paderborn, Bad Lippspringe and Hövelhof since July 6, 2014. In February 2016 go.on expanded its use in the Paderborn district by taking over the regional night bus, the NachtExpress. Since the timetable change in July 2016, the company has been serving additional lines in the Paderborn and Höxter districts with a focus on Paderborn, Altenbeken, Bad Driburg and Willebadessen.

chronology

This article or section consists mainly of lists, which should be replaced by running text . Please help Wikipedia improve this. More about is here to find.

  • December 18, 2008: The license was granted
  • January 2009 - March 2009: Sale of tickets as "replacement tickets", equipment of vehicles with destination display, replacement timetables at the stops, timetable changes from February - printing of a timetable booklet.
  • March 2009 - April 2009: Sale of single, quadruple, day and fun tickets via block sale (with the support of moBiel )
  • May 2009: Ticket printers are supposed to speed up ticket sales, but since an older system was used, there were a number of problems with tickets as well as untrained staff, incorrect programming and missing prices and destinations. Printer crashes were initially the order of the day. Accommodation of "new" stop notices in the stop boxes.
  • June 2009: Start of operation of line 48 Bielefeld - Brockhagen (-Kölkebeck). The passengers complain that the route no longer runs to Versmold. This had to be changed according to the local transport plan. With the elimination of the Kölkebeck-Versmold section, regular traffic was implemented on line 89. This now runs every 60 minutes from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. (this does not affect additional school trips) with a connection to the regional train RB 75 to Bielefeld or Osnabrück.
  • July 2009: Preparation for the conversion of the previously exempted school traffic in Halle and Steinhagen. Stops have been created and a timetable has been published. Now every passenger is allowed to ride on this former school bus at the local tariff.
  • August 2009: Introduction of new lines for school transport .
  • December 2009: First duty roster changes in line operations. Some delay issues have been resolved and new ones created.
  • January 2010: The first annual balance sheet: the number of passengers has risen on almost all lines. Ticket printers have been completely overhauled - new ticket paper with "go-on" logo has been used.
  • Citizen bus Werther: Line 160 was previously operated as a cooperation between the Bürgerbus-Verein eV Werther and BVO. Since the BVO showed no further interest in the citizen bus route and did not want to extend the contract, go.on negotiated about taking over the concession. The project had to be completed by May 2010, as the contract with BVO expired on that date. The aim of the citizens' bus association was to abolish parallel journeys to Häger and Theenhausen and to make offers at the times that were not covered by line 89 to Häger and 60 to Theenhausen. This should enable an almost hourly connection to the districts. In June 2010 the citizen bus was integrated into the go.on timetable offer.
  • The lines in the Detmold-Lemgo-Kalletal area began operating under the product name "Lippemobil" on July 15, 2010.
  • August 24, 2010: Managing director Udo Stötzel wants to expire the concession of the Gütersloh Nord line bundle early on July 1, 2011 due to insufficient profitability. The company announced that it had applied to the Detmold district government to release the lines from the "Gütersloh Nord" line bundle. The company is still interested in the operation of the lines, but expects financial support from the district. go.on wants to participate in a new tender.
  • October 16, 2010: go.on changes the managing director, Dirk Sonnenberg takes over from Udo Stötzel. The district government in Detmold rejected the request for partial delivery of individual lines or little-used trips. According to the district government, bankruptcy is not in sight - therefore the concession will not be replaced by go.on until July 31, 2011 . A smooth successor is being sought, but so far without success. The company filed an urgent application to receive a 30% benefit reduction. This is primarily intended to replace the deficit trips and lines. The special purpose association VVOWL will now take care of that. According to the new managing director, Sonnenberg, a 10% reduction in output would already have some effect. The BVO (Ostwestfalen-Lippe-Bus) refused to accept a concession. There is also criticism from the Lippe district because of the award of the tender there. Criticism: "How can a company that fails in the Gütersloh district survive in Lippe?"
  • January 1, 2011: go.on retains the line bundle license for Gütersloh Nord until it expires. In the line bundle in Lippe, operations run without problems. The Stötzel company has to hand over individual lines and trips to other transport companies after heavy losses due to go.on. This was taken over by Vogt and Mertens on May 1, 2011.
  • January 1, 2013: go.on now takes over the last lines in the Gütersloh North line bundle. Lines 98 and 198 have not yet been harmonized.
  • April 4, 2013: With the exit of moBiel GmbH (Stadtwerke Bielefeld) go.on not only loses a founding member, but also an important partner. The two former moBiel courses are instead operated by the Stötzel transport company.
  • August 1, 2013: After the Gütersloh Nord line bundle was put out to tender, go.on was unable to prevail against the applicant DB Bahn Ostwestfalen-Lippe-Bus. This offered a 15-minute cycle on the Bielefeld-Werther route. The go.on takes against the award to the legal action, as it has probably been disagreements in procurement procedures. go.on failed in 2013 with a lawsuit against DB Bahn Ostwestfalen-Lippe-Bus; this concerned the Lippe I line bundle. As a result, the Gütersloh Nord line bundle will no longer exist as of January 1, 2014.
  • December 31, 2013: At the end of the calendar year, go.on's involvement in the Gütersloh Nord line bundle also ends . A small ray of hope: go.on was able to win a total of three of eleven subcontractor lots at DB Bahn Ostwestfalen-Lippe-Bus. The partners Orth and Stötzel provide these services.
  • July 6, 2014: go.on takes over the bus service between Paderborn, Bad Lippspringe, Schlangen and Horn, introduces a 15-minute cycle on this line during rush hour
  • February 5, 2016: The company takes over the NachtExpress in Paderborn
  • July 10, 2016: go.on takes over the line bundle 10 'Egge' of the NPH from DB Bahn Ostwestfalen-Lippe-Bus between Paderborn, Altenbeken, Bad Driburg and Willebadessen. A new line concept with a transfer hub in Buke will be introduced
  • November 7, 2016: All go.on buses in the nph area are equipped with free WiFi .
  • From April 10, 2017 go.on will be operating the R32 line in the Paderborn district, which runs between Altenbeken and Bad Lippspringe.
