Gobryas (son of Darius I)

Gobryas ( ancient Greek Γωβρύας , ancient Persian Gaubaruva- ) was a member of the Persian Achaemenid dynasty in the 5th century BC. He was a son of the great king Dareios I and Artystone , his full brother was Arsames .

During the invasion of Greece by Xerxes I in 480 BC. Gobryas had led the Lygian and Mariandyne contingents . No further information is known about him.
