The Godendorfer See is located in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft nature park , in the Mecklenburg Lake District in southeast Mecklenburg in the Godendorf municipality . The eponymous place is at the eastern end of the lake. It is divided into a larger Vordersee and a smaller Hintersee, which are only connected by a narrow narrow lake. The lake shore is very swampy at this point. The lake is 1500 meters long and up to 550 meters wide across both pools. One kilometer south of the lake is the state border with Brandenburg .
