Godless Truth is a death metal band from the Czech Republic .

history

The band was founded in Olomouc in 1994 by the guitarist Petr Svancara, the bassist Mark, the singer Martin Panek and the drummer Jarda Hanzel. It is also counted as part of the so-called Slam Death Metal.

After releasing her first demo album called Another Disease , she toured the Czech Republic and Slovakia for a long time . Another demo album followed, which finally brought her a contract with Lord Mark Black Productions , where she released Desperation as an EP in 1996 with her additional guitarist Petr Svarc . With the two promo songs Silentium and Don't Believe , she went on a label search and found what she was looking for on the French Deadsun Records , which Desperation released in 1998 together with the demo as the band's first full album. In the meantime the former manager 'Denek Simecek had taken over the microphone and Martin, Jarda, Mark and Petr Svarc had left the band. At that time the band was still heavily influenced by technical death metal. With the advent of slam death metal, the band added more and more elements of this sub-style to their music.

In Michael Rucil, the band quickly found a second guitarist who claimed to be unskilled and who learned some of their songs in a short time, but had to hire a studio drummer for the recording of the second album Burning Existence in 1999, before Jirka "George" became a permanent member found the drums. The band then toured the former Czechoslovakia and various European countries, including together with Fleshless .

In 2000, Godless Truth went looking for a new label with a promo song, which she found after numerous appearances in spring and summer, including with Disgorge , in the Czech Shindy Productions . It was there in 2001 that Self Realization was released. She appeared at many concerts with some well-known bands, for example with Cryptopsy or Dying Fetus . Then drummer George left the band and the replacement Paul Bizzaro also left the band after a European tour with Malignancy because of the too high distance of his place of residence to the rest of the band members. In 2002 Libor "Tata" comas for him. In 2003, after a long time, a bassist joined the band as a permanent member, Mira, who was replaced by Tom Smith in 2004. In the same year her fourth album Arrogance of Supreme Power was released on Lacerated Enemy Records , the singer's label.

In 2005 there was a 3-way split with the Japanese Vomit Remnants and the Americans Carnivorous . The release of another split CD with Devourment , Sect of Execration and Sarcolytic in 2006 was followed four years later by the EP Too Late to Stop My Hate , on which the musical sound of the band can again be assigned to Technical Death Metal.
