Godomar (son of Gibica)
Godomar was a prince of the Burgundians in the early 5th century.
He is mentioned in the Lex Burgundionum as the son of Gibica and brother of Gundahar and Giselher . It is uncertain whether he survived his father and subsequently held a position in the realm of his brother Gundahars.
He is probably the historical model for the Gernot of the Nibelungenlied .
