history

In 1900 Ferdinand Bartholomäus Goldmann founded a printing company in Tulln. From 1907 the Tulln district news is printed there. 1941 Ferdinand Anton Goldmann takes over the management. From 1965 the company is also active in offset printing and photo typesetting . In 1968 the first offset rotary press was purchased and in 1974 production was relocated to Königstetter Straße. In 1988 the first production facility abroad is set up - a joint venture with Offset Nyomda Budapest and Apollo is entered into. In 1996, Offset Nyomda was completely taken over by Goldmann in the course of privatization, and later Apollo was also bought.

In 1989 the company was renamed Goldmann Zeitungsdruck GmbH . In 1990 the company also opened a subsidiary in the Czech Republic, Moraviapress . In 2008 planning started at a printing company in Romania.

In July 2011 the company had to file for bankruptcy. The number of employees at the Tulln site has decreased from 350 in 2007 to 165. The aim of the process is to find new owners for the company. In September 2011 the company Leykam Let's Print AG was awarded the contract. The subsidiary Moravia Press in Břeclav in the Czech Republic is perfect for the efforts of the Leykam Group to build up a ring of printing companies in neighboring countries , says Leykam boss Michael Steinwidder. For Tulln there should be a location guarantee for 27 months.

The Tulln location was finally closed in 2014, and the company premises are for sale.

Goldmann Druck AG or Goldmann Holding Gesellschaft mbH is in liquidation (as of February 2015).

In 2018, the remaining site in Tulln was transferred to Zukunftspark GmbH. sold.
