Golf Hotel (Crail)
The Golf Hotel is a hotel in the Scottish town of Crail in the Council Area Fife . In 1972 the building was included as an individual monument in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.
description
The Golf Hotel is right on a bend in the main road ( A917 ) in the center of Crail. The historic building dates from the 18th century. The facades of the house are plastered with Harl , whereby the natural stone surrounds are colored. The north-facing street-side main facade of the three-story building is four axes wide, but not completely symmetrical. On the right, the masonry is grooved and protrudes bulging on the upper floor. At the rear, a stair tower with a crossed gable extends over the full height of the building . The gables are designed as a simple stepped gable . In addition to smaller modern extensions, there is also a historical extension at the rear.
