Crail is a village with 1639 inhabitants. It is located on the Scottish peninsula of Fife .
history
Originally the place lived from fishing, which the Crail Harbor testifies. In the 9th century Crail traded well with the continent. The royal castle Crail Castle was - like the Crail Parish Church - built in the 12th century, the pigeon tower in the 16th century. The market cross dates from the 17th century.
Fish can still be bought at the port, but this is primarily a tourist attraction.
Petrified trees from the carbon can be seen on the beach next to the harbor.
