Golgi is a very small impact crater on the northwestern front of the moon in the plain of Oceanus Procellarum , north of Schiaparelli crater and east of Briggs . To the east of Golgi lies the ridge of the Dorsa Burnet .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1976 after the Italian physician and Nobel Prize winner Camillo Golgi .
