Millennium Cross on the Matyska
The fourth station of the Cross on the Matyska - Jesus meets his mother

The Golgotha of the Beskids is a way of the cross that leads up to the Matyska hill (609 m above sea  level ) in the village of Radziechowy (near Żywiec in southern Poland ). Along the hiking trail, which winds up between village houses and - a little higher - between fields and meadows, there are stations of the cross, which remind of the last hours of the life of Jesus Christ .

On the hill is a millennium cross, which was erected in the anniversary year 2000. Nowadays it is a place that attracts Roman Catholic pilgrims.

The Matyska offers a panoramic view of the Saybuscher and Silesian Beskids .
