The Gomez Nunatak is an isolated and 1550 m high nunatak of the Palmerland in the south of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 60 km southwest of Mount Vang .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after José M. Gomez, a construction mechanic on the Eights Station in the Antarctic winter of 1965.
