Gonderingen

Gonderingen ( Luxembourgish Gonnereng , French Gonderange ) is one of the 12 districts of the Luxembourgish community Junglinster in the canton of Grevenmacher . After the main town, Gonderingen is the largest town in the municipality with 1739 inhabitants.

The village had a stop on the Luxembourg – Echternach narrow-gauge railway , which was operated from 1904 to 1957.

Gonderingen is the birthplace of the politician Eugène Schaus (1901–1978) and the racing cyclist Franz Neuens (1912–1985), who participated in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.
