Gonja (people)

The Gonja are a people in Ghana who are also called Ngbanyito .

This ethnic group lives in the Savannah region in the northwest of the country. The settlement area extends around the upper tributaries to the Volta reservoir , from the Black Volta to both banks of the White Volta .

The Gonja belong to the group of the North Guang peoples due to their native language Gonja .
