Google Cloud Print is a Google service that enables users to print to any printer from any cloud print enabled application ( web , desktop , mobile ) on any device in the network cloud .

This happens without Google having to create and maintain printer subsystems for all hardware combinations of client devices and printers and without having to install device drivers on client devices. However, the documents are transferred to the Google server for this purpose. If Google Cloud Printer is installed on the device, you can print from any Windows application. Google has announced that it will end the service at the end of December 2020.

Integration with other Google products

Google Cloud Print is built into the mobile versions of Gmail and Google Docs so users can print from their mobile devices. Google Cloud Print is listed as a printer option on the print preview page of the Google Chrome web browser (version 16 or higher ). Printers without built-in cloud print support, often referred to as "Legacy" or "Classic", are supported by a Cloud Print Connector that is integrated into Google Chrome versions 9 and higher.

privacy

Documents printed using Google Cloud Print are sent to Google servers for transmission to the printer. Google keeps a copy of every document as long as the print job is not finished.

"If you use Google Cloud Print, your document will be sent to Google and saved until it is printed."
