Coordinates: 31 ° 18 ′ S , 116 ° 49 ′ E The Shire of Goomalling is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 1837 km² and has about 1000 inhabitants (2016).
Goomalling is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the center of the state about 120 km northeast of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Goomalling, where about 500 inhabitants live (2016).

The Goomalling Council has nine members. The members are elected by the residents of the four wards (four from the Town Ward, two each from North and Sout Ward, one from the Central Ward). The Council Chairman and President des Shires are also recruited from among the Councilor.
