Gora Zubova ( English transcription from Russian Гора Зубова Gora Subowa , German 'Subow-Berg' ) is a mountain in the East Antarctic Mac-Robertson Land . In the Prince Charles Mountains it rises 5 km southeast of Mount Kirkby in the Porthos Range .
Russian scientists named it after the Soviet oceanographer Nikolai Nikolajewitsch Subow (1885-1960), who wrote numerous papers on the sea ice in the Arctic .
