Goran Kovačević (musician, 1955)

Goran Kovačević (born March 7, 1955 in Mostar , Yugoslavia , † March 9, 2014 in Sarajevo , Bosnia and Herzegovina ) was a Bosnian musician , singer and songwriter . The best-known group he worked with was Teška industrija .

Career

Kovačević released a few singles in 1974 with the newly formed band Čisti zrak . Shortly after his collaboration with Čisti zrak , Goran Kovačević received an offer from the band Ambasadori , of which he was a member until 1976. After leaving the band, Kovačević was invited by Gabor Lenđel to take Seid Memić Vajta's place in the band Teška Industrija . Together with Teška Industrija Kovačević recorded the two albums "Teška industrija (1976)" and "Zasviraj i za pojas zadjeni (1978)". In 1978 Kovačević separated from Teška Industrija to begin a solo career and to record the album "Stižemo" together with Goran Ivandić and Laza Ristovski , which had to be postponed due to a drug affair in which all three were arrested. In 1982 he released his first solo album entitled "Prvak svijeta". After the release of his second album in 1984, which was called "Pepeljuga u džinsu", Kovačević withdrew from the music scene to concentrate on songwriting. Until his sudden death on March 9, 2014, he wrote many successful songs for several well-known music groups, including the hit "Denny" by the band COD .
