Gordon Stanley
Gordon Garhel Stanley (born March 22, 1919 ) is a retired Australian marathon runner .
In 1947 he became champion of Victoria in 2:37:21 h. The following year he became champions of New South Wales and defended his title in Victoria with his personal best of 2:35:01 h. In 1949 he was runner-up at the Australian Championship and Victoria Champion for the third time.
A fourth place at the British Empire Games in Auckland in 1950 was followed by the national championship title in 1951.
