The Gordon Wilson Hall is a historic school building of the Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green , and is in Warren County in the US state of Kentucky , in the United States . It's on 15th Street, on the western side of the campus .

history

Architect of the building was from Louisville native Brinton B. Davis (1862-1952), also known as "The Hill Builder" . As defined by the NRHP , the architecture of the building, completed in 1927, is held in the Late 19th and 20th Century Revival . The ten columns of the three-story building are built in a copy of classical Greek architecture. As part of major changes, air conditioning, study rooms, classrooms and offices were added to the home in 1967. The main library has been converted into a large classroom for supervised study. In 1968 extensive renovations were carried out on and in the building. It is named after Dr. Alexander Gordon Wilson, Sr. (1888-1970). The Gordon Wilson Hall was originally the library of the University until 1965, Margie Helm Library opened and then took over this function.

The building was listed on December 18, 1979 by the National Register of Historic Places under number 79001044.
