Warren County is a county in the US state of Kentucky in the United States . The county seat is Bowling Green .

The county is located in southwest Kentucky, about 25 km to the south from the state of Tennessee and has an area of 1,419 square kilometers, of which six square kilometers are water. It is bordered in a clockwise direction by the following counties: Butler County , Edmonson County , Barren County , Allen County , Simpson County, and Logan County .

Warren County was formed on December 14, 1796 from parts of Logan County. It was named after General Joseph Warren , who died at the Battle of Bunker Hill .
Historical objects
At Western Kentucky University:
- In Bowling Green , the historic is Health Buildings High School (also known as Helm Library ). The building is located on Normal Drive , in the campus of Western Kentucky University . The school building, constructed in 1930, was listed on December 18, 1979 by the National Register of Historic Places as a historic monument with the number 79001034.
- The historic Kentucky Building (NRHP-ID 79001038) can also be found on campus . It was built around 1930 and is located on Russellville Road . The architect was Brinton B. Davis .
- The Van Meter Hall is located on the 15th Street , and in 1979 declared a national monument (NRHP ID 79001042).
Other:
- In Smiths Grove is the historically relevant Thomas Allen House . The building is on State Route 31W . The house, built around 1860, was designed by the architect Harrison Barner and listed on December 18, 1979 by the National Register of Historic Places as a historic monument with the number 79003542.
- The Smiths Grove District is located between First Street and Main Street , listed on NRHP No. 79003512

Demographic data
According to the 2000 census , Warren County's population was 92,522. Of these, 5,559 people lived in collective accommodation, the other residents lived in 35,365 households and 23,411 families. The population density was 66 inhabitants per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 86.98 percent white, 8.58 percent African American, 0.24 percent Native American, 1.35 percent Asian, 0.08 percent of residents from the Pacific island area and 1.33 percent from other ethnic groups Groups; 1.45 percent were descended from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 2.67 percent of the population.
Of the 35,365 households, 31.4 percent had children and young people under the age of 18 living with them. 51.4 percent were married couples living together, 11.2 percent were single mothers, 33.8 percent were non-families, 26.1 percent were single households and 8.3 percent had people aged 65 years or over. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.97 people.
For the entire county, the population was composed of 23.1 percent of residents under the age of 18, 16.2 percent between 18 and 24 years of age, 29.1 percent between 25 and 44 years of age, 21.1 percent between 45 and 64 years of age 10.5 percent were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 96.2 males. For every 100 women aged 18 or over there were statistically 93.0 men.
The median income for a household in the 36,151 USD , and the median income for a family was 45,142 USD. Males had a median income of $ 32,063 versus $ 22,777 for females. The per capita income was $ 18,847. 10.8 percent of families and 15.4 percent of the population were below the poverty line. Of these, 17.8 percent were children or adolescents under 18 years of age and 13.8 percent were people over 65 years of age.
